Google's March 2024 core update and revised spam policies signify a significant refinement in the search algorithm, aimed at enhancing the detection and demotion of spam content. This update underscores Google's commitment to prioritising authentic and valuable content for improved search rankings.

The update specifically targets websites that exhibit characteristics of spam, such as those with masses of uninteresting or generic in nature content, whether from human or AI sources. Websites that were previously associated with expired domains will also face extra scrutiny as well.
