Recently an article was released by the Financial Review regarding Google’s shift toward AI and how businesses and their online presence may have to change to accommodate this.
We reviewed the article and at this stage, we are speculative on when the proposed changes from Google are going to have a profound impact, if any, on our customers’ websites. We feel that internet users aren’t in a position to rapidly change their browsing habits, that is, people are still going to go onto Google and type their request into the search bar and look at the highest results first.
The way that Google ranks the results may change with AI in time, but our SEO team are always up to date with the latest changes and make adjustments to our SEO processes and procedures to accommodate for this including;
Creating more focused, clear content that is brand and keyword specific
Creating a local focus profile i.e up to date Google Business Profile and social media channels
Establish proof of authenticity through geniune content and project updates
Facilitating positive user experiences through intuitive navigation, uncluttered design and focused information
We also always advise our customers to hold a diverse portfolio by having multiple customer acquisition channels (website, social media, affiliates, referrals, partnerships etc.) as well as being part of community groups and business networking opportunities where possible to boost visibility.
We will keep you posted for any major changes that occur over the coming months that may further affect website design but at this stage, Jezweb is on top of it all. If you have any questions, please reach out to our team on 1300 024 766.
