Free QR Code Generator

The sun is shining and we’re all heading to the beach! Just kidding. There will be Jezweb team members available throughout the festive season and yes some of us will be taking a break. If you need a hand with your website email help@jezweb.au or visit our contact page. Before the year wraps up we’ve got a gift for you…

A Free QR Code Generator

We’re excited to let you know that Jezweb has setup a properly free QR code generator designed to help you create custom designed QR codes quickly.

Unlike some QR code websites, we’re not looking to trick you into signing up for paid features like URL tracking or dynamic links. We’ve set the free usage limit for this at 1000 QR codes so we can keep tabs on how much server space it’s using and will look at adding a paid teir in the future for something like adding up to 10,000 QR codes if there is demand for such a high limit.

  • Completely Free: The generator is free to use, with no hidden fees or surprise restrictions. Some features like saving QR codes require making a free account and have limits to how many can be saved.

  • Dynamic QR Codes: Create a QR code linked to a short URL so you can update or change its destination later without needing a new code.

  • Customizable Design: Adjust the colors, style, and format to make your QR codes reflect your branding or personal style.

  • Ease of Use: Generate, save, and manage QR codes with minimal effort.

  • Create an account: Save your QR codes with a free account so you can return and print or redesign them in the future.

This tool is ideal if you’re looking for a simple, transparent solution for creating QR codes for websites, promotional materials, signage, or events.

You can start using it today at qr.jezweb.com.

You can use it to make barcodes too! Common barcodes in Australia like EAN-13, EAN-8, Code 128, and ITF-14 are available.

Why offer a free QR code Generator?

Aren’t all QR codes free? Well, yes, that’s true but some QR code sites use a “click tracking” redirect, where the QR code points to their server first, then forwards to your link. This lets them track clicks but means if you stop paying for their service, your QR code becomes useless because the redirect stops working! You can see an example below, it all seems fabulous but they don’t explain how they will trap you.

I’ve no problem with businesses making money for offering a service and if we have someone who wants to create thousands of QR codes and save them and use the system intensively we might need to work out a paid plan but its the opaque way some of the QR code sites go about it and barely explain that the code will stop working if payment is halted that is disappointing. We had a client earlier this year that ended up in this situation and had to spend over $100 for the redirect link to operate for 3 months because it was published in marketing material.
